Anthropic released its new small model on 8 October. It is already available in every Hive AI workspace, EU-hosted as always.
Most of what AI does in a business every day is small, repetitive work: summarising documents, classifying requests, pulling data, handing results to the next step. Haiku 5.5 is built for exactly that. It is Anthropic’s fastest model yet, more capable than Haiku 4.5, and on average around 75% cheaper to run.
For Hive customers that means:

- Room to automate tasks that were too expensive to automate before
Hive uses Haiku 5.5 for the quick parts and keeps the larger models for the hard ones. Admins manage model access in workspace settings.
