On Thursday 24 September, Actum Group brought together a fantastic group of private equity professionals at Padel Social Club in London for the Actum Private Equity Padel Open: an afternoon of competition, networking and a few fiercely contested points.
Hive joined as gold sponsor. The founders were on site all afternoon to meet funds and operating partners and to talk about what AI deployment looks like across a portfolio.
On and off the court
Teams from funds, advisers and portfolio companies played through a full afternoon of matches, with the closing rounds drawing a crowd courtside. Between games, the conversation kept coming back to the same question: how to move AI from pilots in single companies to something that works across a whole portfolio.
For us, that was the best part of the day. Fewer slides, more real conversations with the people who run deals and value creation every day.
